Built From Legacy

Not from a boardroom.
From a living room.

The story of a sister and a brother, the export house their parents built, and the four words from their mother that started everything.

The inheritance

We didn’t grow up watching our parents start from zero — we grew up watching them run something real. An international clothing-export business, built stitch by stitch for the world.

The challenge

Then our mother said four words — “Start something in India.” She had spent a lifetime building for the world; now she wanted her children to build something for home.

The argument

Wrong colour, wrong logo, wrong fabric, wrong direction — we argued the way a sister and brother do. Then we noticed: every time we sat down to build it, we were laughing. The friction was the point.

The idea came at the end of May. On 28 June it became real — Ratń Swamini: made-to-order clothing in pure linen, linen-cotton, mul chanderi and silk crepe, all made in India.
